Live workflow and event control
Run the live event from one desk, with breaks you can take on cue
Live Desk brings every live source into a single operating view: program and preview, automatic failover, live graphics, and a break button that sends a correct SCTE-35 cue every time. It is built for sports, news, and any event that cannot miss a cue.
What it does
Program and preview
Multi-source switching with a multiviewer, so the operator sees what is on air and what is next before taking it.
Automatic failover
Primary and backup feeds are monitored for signal loss, black, and silence. The desk switches to the backup or to slate before viewers see a stall.
Breaks on cue
Take a break with a set or open-ended duration. Live Desk signals it with SCTE-35 or SCTE-104, so unscheduled breaks such as timeouts are still monetized.
Live graphics
Score bugs, lower thirds, and sponsor elements on the program output, controlled from the desk or driven by data feeds.
Event scheduling
Book events into the channel schedule with pre-roll slates, start and end handling, and automatic return to programming when the event ends.
Rights and blackouts
Apply regional blackout and alternate-content rules per event, expressed with SCTE-224 where distribution partners support it.
How it works
Connect feeds
Bring venue, studio, and remote feeds in over SRT or RIST, each with a backup.
Preview
Check the next source on preview with audio meters and confidence monitoring.
Take and break
Switch to program and take breaks on cue; cues go out correctly every time.
Return
When the event ends, the channel returns to its scheduled programming automatically.
